On the evening of Thursday, 25 June, Rev. Alec Stevenson took his first step in Freemasonry. Alec has followed a life-long path devoted to charitable works, benevolence, and humility; it is not at all surprising that he has found his way into our Order.

Bro. Stevenson's ceremony was attended by the District Grand Inspector of Workings, VW Bro. Peter Bindon, who personally congratulated Alec in the Lodge Room; and the DGM Designate, RW Bro. Derek Robson. The ceremony was also marked by a Fraternal from Lodge Capitol led by their WM Bro. Sam Gupta, several sitting Masters, Wardens and most notably six Entered Apprentices which was a magnificent sight.

The unexpected numbers caught us off guard; however, our quick thinking Director of Ceremonies, W Bro. Graeme Moller, managed to get word to the Tyler who organised a quick journey to supplement the Festive Board with everyone's favourite, pizza.

In the absence of our WM, RW Bro. Warren Turton, due to ill health, the Chair was held by W Bro. Warren Barsley. We welcome Bro Stevenson into our ancient Order and to Lodge Commonwealth of Australia in particular.
